SAN DIEGO—Cook + Schmid, a full-service public relations, public affairs, advertising and marketing firm, has been selected by the San Diego Natural History Museum (theNAT) to manage a public relations campaign for the popular Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition.
The San Diego Natural History Museum chose Cook + Schmid to develop and manage a marketing and media relations program to support the museum during all phases of the exhibition’s seven month stay, which opens February 10, 2012 and will run concurrently with the 100th anniversary of the Titanic’s tragic sinking.
This is the exhibition’s first stop in San Diego. The exhibition, owned by Premier Exhibitions, includes more than 200 artifacts recovered from the wreck 2.5 miles below the surface; 175 of these will be seen for the first time on the West Coast. Through these artifacts and galleries, visitors will experience the life and drama aboard the Titanic during its historic voyage.
