North County Transit District hired Cook + Schmid to assist in the launch of its new Micro Transit pilot program, NCTD+. The new micro transit service was aimed at serving existing customers and generating new ridership by providing first and last mile connections, helping bridge the transit gap in service. This service was particularly important to vulnerable populations such as seniors, students, and low-income riders. Cook + Schmid developed bilingual (English and Spanish) collateral material such as an NCTD+ video, images, postcard, flyer, factsheet, and business card. Outreach was conducted via 276 partner organizations, three email campaigns, numerous social media posts, and seven pop-up events. 3,700 flyers were distributed and a total of 569 residents were reached at pop-up events. With the assistance of Cook + Schmid, North County launched its new service, which is now used by many to get around San Marcos quickly and safely.
