Top National Award for Strategic Campaign Recognizes Cook + Schmid’s Promotion of Kratos Defense and Security Solutions

SAN DIEGO – Cook + Schmid, a full service marketing communications firm, today announced the Public Relations Society of America recognized the firm with a 2019 Silver Anvil in the Category of Global Communications.

“The icon of the public relations profession, the Silver Anvil Awards recognize the best public relations programs of the year and the highest standards of performance in the profession” according to PRSA, which goes on to note that the award is commonly referred to as “the Oscars of the public relations profession.”

Cook + Schmid was recognized for its re-launch of Kratos’ line of military drones at the Paris Airshow, as well a series of other product launches and company announcement in the U.S. and abroad. Coverage included top news and business outlets in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, as well as important industry and military trade publications and influential blogs.

Cook + Schmid’s nominations also resulted in a number of prestigious awards, including Popular Science naming the Kratos drone as one of the top aerospace inventions of the year. In addition to media coverage, Cook + Schmid achieved social media exposure that numbered in the tens of millions of impressions.
